As a black woman and black owned business, celebrating our culture, history, and uniqueness is something I’ll never shy away from. God made me the way that I am and I’m not less than, or a mistake. My blackness is not a free pass into rooms. If anything, I continue to have to work twice as hard just to get a foot in the door in the business I’m in.
